Light color fabric iron-on transfers have a red backings and are a mirror image of the actual image itself. These transfers are for light color fabrics only. The general rule is that your fabric color should not be darker than the lightest color in your image. Please keep in mind that the color white cannot be printed. These transfer sheets are translucent so the white you see is only the backing that will be peeled off after application. If your fabric is too dark, it may make your image appear dull or hard to see.
Dark color fabric iron-on transfers have blue backings and are face up as the actual image looks. These transfers are printed on a coating of white which allows the image to stay true no matter what color fabric you plan on putting it on. Please keep in mind all areas, including the background outside and around the image, will be white and needed trimmed if desired.

Don’t worry about the colors of your image(s). They may seem dull but that is because the color soaks into the transfer paper. The color will pop and be vibrant again when it is applied to your garment.
